My journey took me into the jungles of Guatemala to a girls home in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by barb wire for their own protection.  The girls living there have had a very rough life. 

When I arrived there, I noticed the girls had a soccer ball with a dent in it and it did not even roll properly.  Because of your donations, I was able to replace their soccer ball.  I laid out all of the uniforms on the table and the girls got to pick uniforms of different colors. Their smiles were priceless! The girls challenged me and the group of men I was traveling with to a soccer game.  They all came out wearing yellow uniforms and called their team “Amarillos” which means yellow in Spanish.  At first, we were taking it easy on them until they stopped the game and said they wanted to play a real match! It was a very competitive and awesome game with lots of smiles.  I wish I could recruit some of the girls for my team next year!
