Assistant Referees for U10 through U16 division matches must hold Regional Referee badges at a minimum.  Since the level of play at the U19 level is so dynamic, Regional Referees are discouraged from being an AR for a U19 division match.  However, if a Regional Referee believes that he/she is capable of being an AR for a U19 division match, he/she should write to the Regional Referee Administrator to be considered for this level of competition.

Center Referees must be two years older than any player in a match. For example, a 15-year-old Youth Referee may not CR a U14 match but is welcome to do so in U12 if that Youth Referee holds a waiver or an Intermediate Referee Badge.

The Director of Referee Instruction will provide educational waivers to referees who attend an upgrade class.  The waiver will allow upgrade candidates to accumulate game count at the next level beyond their current badges.
