AYSO Soccer calculated a player's age for each Membership Year (MY) based on Birth Year through the 2025-26 season.
For the 2026-27 season (MY26) it will be changing to match the Membership Year of August 1 - July 31. That chart is updated below.
The AYSO Membership Year runs from August 1 through
July 31. Participants play in the same Division during the Fall Season
and the subsequent Spring Season. Participants move up for the next Fall Season.

Fall 2026 Play Up Exception
For Fall 2026 - due to the recent change - we are offering the opportunity to request a Play Up Exception if your player falls in one of these birthdate ranges:
August 1 - December 31, 2010
August 1 - December 31, 2012
August 1 - December 31, 2014
August 1 - December 31, 2016
Exception requests are managed within the registration process.
Play Up Exception requests are not guaranteed and are subject to player evaluations, division capacity, and Division Commissioner/RC approval.
It is recommended that your player be in the top 20% of their previous division to be considered for a Play Up Exception.
Exceptions are season by season and may be carried over to Spring there is no guarantee. This is likely also a one year exception with no expectation for future membership years.
Our goal is to evaluate and send decision notifications before the end of Regular Registration (July 15). Exceptions requested after that date are unlikely to be granted.
Roster Priority is given to age-appropriate players first. Play Up requests will be moved to fully enrolled once we have confirmed coach and field capacity.
