New Region Operating System for Fall 2026 AYSO Region 18

We’re launching a brand-new Region Operating System to make your AYSO experience even better. Our Region is moving to PlayMetrics, which offers easier registration, improved communication, and a more streamlined season experience.

All registrations are now happening on PlayMetrics.  Check out this quick video for an overview of PlayMetrics.

Using the PlayMetrics app on your mobile phone, you can register, access your player’s practice and game schedules, receive real-time updates, and communicate with Region volunteers and your teams.

Volunteering In PlayMetrics

There are two main categories of Volunteers in PlayMetrics and two different paths to sign up this season.  There are ongoing upgrades being built into the system but for now - please follow the directions below to sign up as a Head/Assistant Coach vs. Other Volunteers (including Referees).  

All paths start from having a PlayMetrics account (and best to be already connected to your player - so if you're not - please ask the "Account Owner" to add you to their account - including "connecting" you to each player involved).

Signing up during Registration

The easiest way to sign up as a Head/Assistant Coach is through the registration process.  Whether you're doing the registration or someone else that is connected to your players - there is an opportunity while signing up to enter the contact information of the volunteer(s) planning on helping out.

Coaches will then be moved to a temporary "Division team" and then moved to the admin side where you'll be able to complete your background check and other training needs.

From your PlayMetrics account - if you have a player connected to your account - click on the Coach Request link.



If you don't have a player attached to your account - click on the Club Resources tab on the left.  Choose the Division(s) that you'd like to volunteer for and follow the Coaching Request Question process.

Referees and Other Volunteers

Signing up during Registration

Similar to signing up as a Coach - during registration there is an opportunity to provide the name and contact number of a Volunteer wishing to sign up for one of the following positions:

*  Referee - Adult
*  Referee - Youth
*  Youth Mentor (under 18 helping out with coaching)
*  Field Prep
*  Donation Support (helping out with our uniform/equipment/cleat donations)
*  Open to Work (open opportunities will be shared throughout the season)
*  Board Member

Signing up after Registration

To sign up as a volunteer other than Coach after registration, start by logging into your PlayMetrics account.  From there, click on Volunteer Signups where you'll be given the opportunity to sign up for the above positions.  This acts more like an "interest" signup and you'll then be moved to a volunteer "team" before moving on to background check and training.
