LiveScan

Effective, January 1, 2022, all administrators, employees and regular volunteers in California MUST have a one-time background check as approved by the California Department of Justice to exclude individuals with a history of child abuse. This form of background check requires live scan fingerprinting.  This process does not replace the Sterling Volunteers Background Check.

Volunteers that need to complete LiveScan (fingerprinting) for AYSO Region 18 include ALL Coaches, Intermediate Referees and above, and board members as administrators.

LiveScan is a "one and done" process and is unique to each organization.  So even if you've done for work, school, church or other group, you must do one specifically for AYSO.

To facilitate for our volunteers - we have contracted with a local service provider:

Please make an appointment online before going - they are available Mon-Fri regular business hours and limited hours on Saturdays.  Appointment link through Calendly here.  You don't need to fill out all the extended details - but please put "AYSO 18" in the additional info field.



You'll need to fill out this form and bring your Driver's License.  Please make sure you use your legal name (as shown on DL) and use the same email address you use for your Sports Connect account.

Process is direct billed to AYSO Region 18.

DO NOT UPLOAD A COPY OF YOUR FORM TO YOUR ACCOUNT.  This just blocks the process and doesn't show that you passed the background check. 

LiveScan results cannot be shared between organizations so even if you have completed for work, school, or other activity - you MUST complete for AYSO Region 18.
